The 2015 NASCC conference is next week in Nashville, TN. If you're planning to attend, be sure to stop by sessions T4 and T5. Doug Fitzpatrick will be part of a two session panel discussion that includes two structural engineers, two fabricators and two steel detailers.
T4 - Wednesday 3/25 4:30-6:00 pm Will Technology Change Our Business Models Part 1 - Identifying the Challenges
T5 - Thursday 3/26 8:00-9:30 am Will Technology Change Our Business Models Part 2 - Debating the Solutions
The Wednesday evening kick-off session will open with very short presentations from each of the six panelists sharing how BIM has changed their businesses and identifying challenges they see moving forward. The Thursday morning session will most likely repeat the brief presentations then continue the discussion by debating the possible solutions to the challenges uncovered the night before. It should make for a lively discussion.
The intent of the sessions is to provide a forum for open discussion and debate about the rapidly changing world around us. Technology has infiltrated just about everything we do these days - from our cars, to our homes, to our social life and to our workplaces.
Come join the discussion and learn what technology is on the horizon and how it can be used together to make all of our projects more efficient and profitable. I look forward to seeing you there.
