Here's a list of our upcoming presentations and events for the remainder of the spring:
Apr 16-19, 2013 NASCC, The Steel Conference, St. Louis, MO
For the third year in a row, Doug Fitzpatrick will be participating in the Direct Connect session on Thursday. This is an opportunity for students to meet with industry experts and companies to help them decide the type of firm or work they would like to do once they graduate. It is sponsored by the AISC Education Foundation and organized in cooperation with SE Solutions. You can read more about it here.
Doug will also be co-presenting with SE Solutions Friday morning as they outline the current state of software interoperability. Discussion will cover interoperability between analysis programs and BIM as well as sharing information with fabricators and detailers.
May 13, 2013 Bentley LEARNing Conference
Doug Fitzpatrick will be presenting about FEG's use of BIM from their 2012 Be Inspired Innovation in Structural Engineering Finalist entry. The topics include the nuts and bolts of BIM we used as well as challenges to satisfying the owner's delivery requirements.
Doug will also be giving a complete crash course on Parametric Cell Studio - from dimension driven cell creation to integration into AECOsim. The presentation will be discipline independent.
Finally, if you missed our social media posting a few weeks ago, our February 2013 webcast with ZweigWhite featuring the 2012 BeInspired Innovation in Structural Engineering submission was converted into an online PDH lesson for their read base. You can read about it here and take the test for some free PDHs if you'd like. ZweigWhite is an approved AIA continuing education provider (as noted on the link page).
